Hiding behind this cool breeze block facade and striking yellow entrance is a comfortable urban home with lots of clever features and lush, landscaped, courtyard gardens. Designed by MAP Architects this inner northern oasis includes a concealed study and bar, Murphy bed and butlers pantry. A fun day’s shooting earlier this year.

Halcyon Walk 2 & 3 by Housing First Limited and H2o Architects
If you’re a regular here you may have seen 1 Halcyon Walk that I shot back in 2023 for Housing First Limited, with construction of buildings two and three commencing around me. Fast forward to late 2024 and I was back there to shoot those now completed buildings. How wonderful to see it come together with garden views from the apartments and great indoor and outdoor common areas for the lucky seniors that reside there. It’s a lovely little collection of buildings designed by H2o Architects, with their signature yellow throughout and built by Minicon Construction.

St Kilda Road Office by Amicus
Another great little office by Amicus, this one for cosmetics company Devcos. Warm lights and fluted glass for a glam touch.
Clonard College on InDesign Live

e/S in the media
Thanks to Indesign Media and in particular the ever impressive Jan Henderson, a number of my clients projects have hit the architecture media in the last few months. See below for links and read about these excellent projects:
Thornbury House by Meredith Lee
Here’s something with all the greens from Meredith Lee’s Thornbury House…
Lanson Place Hotel
There’s a new hotel in Melbourne town, the Lanson Place Hotel and it’s been decked out from head to toe with art by the formidable team at Curatorial+Co, led by the most formidable and inspiring Sophie Vander. We spent a full and fun day together last month ahead of the hotel’s opening capturing the beautiful artworks, many of which are by my friend and amazing artist Kate Banazi - this whole project - a coming together of excellent people, doing fabulous creative things. Here are some highlights… too many to share them all.
From the 'New York' end of Flinders Lane...
My friends at Amicus have renovated their own home, and here it is. Tucked away at the New York (I think that’s what they call it these days) end of Flinders Lane, it’s a cosy space that packs a punch in red and blue (my longtime favs).
